What is farmers4oceans?
A social enterprise that started from the wish to do something for our planet earth.
What does farmers4oceans do?
Farmers4oceans collects plastic from the bales of horsebedding from horsekeepers in the region of Twente (eastern part of the Netherlands) to make sustainable products via recycling and upcycling to:
-
Inspire people to clean up (plastic) litter from the ocean, beach, natural and recreational areas;
-
Create more awareness about plastic waste and in doing so reduce the scourge of plastic.
What does farmers4oceans make?
We are currently piloting the manufacture of a range of recycled products, such as letter and number clips and key chains. We also have a number of ideas and designs awaiting digitalization.
The first requirements of farmers4oceans are: the products will exclusively be made from recycled plastic and the final products have to remain recyclable.
